No. CabinetCloudAI runs entirely in your web browser. Open the link, start designing. Works on your computer, tablet, or phone. Nothing to install, nothing to update, ever.

Learning curve. Those tools require training and practice. This tool requires a tape measure. If you can enter wall lengths, you can generate a layout.

Catalog onboarding. Getting your product catalog into ProKitchen or 2020 takes months. Our engine can build your catalog in days.

You enter your wall lengths and mark where appliances, windows, and doors are. The engine then fills every available inch with the right cabinets — bases, walls, talls, fillers, blind corners — all placed automatically using real cabinet rules. It handles the things that usually take the most time: filler calculations, corner logic, and making sure everything fits.

The technology behind the layout engine is patent pending.

Real SKUs. The engine maps actual manufacturer product codes to every cabinet in the layout. When you export, you get a bill of materials with real part numbers — not "36-inch base cabinet."

Currently supports single wall, galley, L-shape, and G-shape layouts. The engine handles blind corners, lazy susans, and appliance clearances for each configuration.

3D rendering is on the roadmap but not in V2. The current tool generates clean 2D overhead layouts and elevation views — which is what contractors actually need to spec and order. A realistic 3D preview for showing homeowners will come in a later phase once the core engine is solid.

V2 is a complete rebuild of the engine. It's not just a patch — it changes how the engine thinks. All eight features ship together:

Every design in V2 automatically generates three upgrade tiers:

• Good — essential cabinets, no extras
• Better — recommended upgrades: 2-drawer bases, rollout trays, soft-close
• Best — all available upgrades for the selected door line

The instant BOM generates a complete SKU list at each tier — so contractors can show homeowners their options and upsell without any extra work.

The brute-force generator creates hundreds of valid cabinet combinations for each kitchen. The scoring engine then evaluates each one across three dimensions — symmetry (do the cabinets line up cleanly across walls?), storage efficiency (is space being maximized?), and value (is the layout using the right cabinet types in the right places?). The highest-scoring layout is what gets presented. You're not just getting the first thing that fits — you're getting the best option the engine can find.
